This pub has the wonderful novelty of having a theatre underneath it.

The interior of the pub has a theatrical theme and was even re-named in honour of the Barons Court Theatre which is located in the basement.

The theatre has about 60 seats that surround the stage on three sides. The playing area is very small and surrounded by archways on the three sides where the audience sits.

Sometimes the directors use the audience space as playing area, perhaps having the chorus sat in the front row. The theatre has a very intimate feel – you can look the actors right in the eye!

The Curtain’s Up is an enjoyable place to grab a pint of ale or a delicious meal.
